French Studio pottery bottle vase by Charles Audoin

This bottle vase, finely decorated with deep inscribed ribs and painted spots,
was made by Charles Audoin at his pottery in Bardenac near Chalais, Charente, France in 1990.

He produced high quality work in his La Grave studio from 1977 until he retired from potting in 2002,
and is regarded as one of the finest of France's craft studio potters of the 20th century.

Condition: This is in excellent condition - no scratches, chips, or cracks.
Dimensions: just under 12 inches high/30cm high
Widest diameter just over 5 inches/13cm.

It bears his painted distinctive personal mark on the base.
He also sometimes signed his work with his signature in sgraffito.
