Small
sgraffito bottle vase by Jacques Blin 1950's-60's

This
small white earthenware bottle vase was made by Jacques Blin (1920-1996).
It is decorated with one stylized bird in sgraffito work,
and was most likely produced in the 1960's.
Before
becoming one of France's leading ceramicists of the 50's and 60's
Jacques Blin studied auronautics. Then in 1953 he established his
ceramic studio in Paris
and showed his work for the first time. His pre-occupation with naïve
cave drawings
became very much in demand for the next twenty years, and even more
so today.
It is quite rare to find any of his work ... especially in good condition.
His
signature "J Blin" can clearly be seen underneath.
Condition:
This is in excellent condition - with no scratches, cracks, or chips.
Dimensions: 5inches high/128mm high
Widest diameter: 2.75 inches/7cm.
