Studio Coffee Pot from Briglin Pottery

This
thrown earthenware wax resist coffee pot was made at Briglin Pottery between
1948 and 1990.
Briglin Pottery was set up by Brigit Goldschmidt (Brig)
and Eileen Lewestein (Lin) in 1948 in Baker Street, West London - then Crawford Street in 1959.
The pottery was closed in 1990.
This particular piece is fairly rare, in that it is complete and undamaged -
the lid was usually the first to get damaged or even broken,
so it is common to see these sold as jugs - without the lids.
The BRIGLIN mark can be clearly seen
at the foot of the handle.
