Frog Mug by Pete Brown
This
fat earthenware frog mug was made by Pete Currell Brown
at Snake Pottery, Cam Green, Dursley in Gloucestershire somerime in the 1970's.
The saying reads:
"Though
you find this LIQUOR tasty,
Be sure you drink it not too HASTY"
I
know nothing else about this versatile potter, other than he wrote a novel
before he began potting - it was called Smallcreep's Day ... dark and surreal. If you have any information
about him then I would be very glad to hear from you.
Underneath are his initials " PCB" plus a stylised snake for "Snake Pottery".
This
is in excellent condition - no scratches, chips, or cracks.

Diameter (not including the handle):4 inches/10cm.
