Pottery Covered Vase by
Jonathan Chiswell Jones





This covered
vase was made by Jonathan Chiswell Jones at his
Drusillas pottery in East Sussex, which dates it to between 1974-97.
He was
born in India, and
inspired by Bernard Leach (which can be clearly seen in this piece).
He trained at Farnham art school with Paul Barron and Henry Hammond,
and then worked for Joe Finch at Appin Pottery in Scotland.
Since 1974 he has been a full time potter, and has exhibited regularly
in the South East of England.
He is also a member of the Sussex Guild, the Surrey Guild of Craftsmen
and Wealdon Potters.
The only
mark on this pot is the paper remnant which reads:

Condition:
This is in excellent condition - no scratches, chips, or cracks,
