Ewenny Pottery Bowl and Vase
These
brown earthenware bowl and vase were made at the Ewenny Pottery
by Alun or Caitlin Jenkins.
Ewenny Pottery is the oldest family pottery in Wales
in that this specific pottery was established 1610 ...
Alun and Caitlin being the seventh generation.
The notable thing about these pieces is that they have a wonderful coloured glaze,
and the shapes are fine examples of the Ewenny style of work.
Condition: They are in excellent condition - no scratches, chips, or cracks.
Dimensions: Bowl - just under 2 inches high/5cm high. Diameter 3 inches/8cm.
Vase - just over 4.5 inches/12cm high. Widest diameter 3.5 inches/9cm.
They both bear the distinctive sgraffito mark "Ewenny Pottery".
