Cylindrical
Vase by Jane Hamlyn

This cylindrical
vase was made by Jane Hamlyn at
Millfield Pottery, South Yorkshire.
Saltglazed stoneware with roulette decoration.
Jane Hamlyn
began potting in 1974 with Peter Starkey while he was
establishing the Dartington Pottery Training Workshop.
Then in 1975, having started Millfield Pottery she began to experiment
with
saltglazed stoneware ... she has not looked back since, and is now seen
in many
people's eyes as an authority on the process.
Her personal
mark "JH" can be clearly seen near the base.
