Studio Pottery by Sylvia Hardaker


This mug was made by Sylvia Hardaker at
her Kenilworth Pottery, Warwickshire.
The impressed mark says "KENILWORTH POTTERY"
and dates this piece to between 1968-83.

Sylvia Hardaker first began potting at the Leach Pottery between 1966-68
after meeting Bernard Leach ... who liked her work, and invited her to become a student there.
In 1968 she began her own studio in Warwickshire and ran it until 1983.
She then moved back to Penzance, Cornwall where she still lives and produces her own
individual style of stoneware pots using her own mixed glazes.

This is in excellent condition - no scratches, chips, or cracks.
Dimensions: just under 3 inches high/73mm high
Widest diameter (not including the handle): just under 3.5 inches/87mm.
