Studio Pottery Covered Box by John Jelfs
This stoneware covered box was made by John Jelfs
at Cotswold Pottery in Bourton-on-the-Water, Gloucestershire.
This box is finely marked within the tenmoku glaze.
John Jelfs started potting in 1973 at his present studio
with his wife Judy who produces painted art pottery.
They are both still working there today.
His swan mark can be clearly seen on the base.
This is in excellent condition - no scratches, chips, or cracks,
4.5 inches high/115mm high.
Widest diameter: just under 5 inches/125mm.
